So whoever said taking off and landing is the worst part of a flight is a big, fat liar. After boarding the plane, we moved around a lot on the track to set up for flight. The sun was rising out of the fog, creating a gorgeous landscape, but all I could focus on was the fact that I needed to pee. I figured once you were on the plane they would let you pee if they were taking off, but no. Of course not. While battling the mental struggle of trying to ignore the feeling, the plane started to take off. Oh man, was that cool. We were going so fast that streaks of water due to mist were running sideways along the windows.

Soon enough we passed into the clouds and glided above the sea of white fluff and comfort. I don’t think I have ever seen the clouds look so beautiful. It was such an amazing sight and in that moment I realized how much I have missed out on in life so far. Luckily I am still fairly young (even though it doesn’t feel like it) and I know I have plenty of time to witness such incredible events, like soaring above the clouds.

Overall, I was so tired on the flight, I was in and out of sleep for most of it. Although I did enjoy the free tv and snacks (I actually got chips and could have gotten soda, but I wanted water).

Now, I am all checked into my room and have explored the campus a little bit. It’s not too large, which I really like. My dorm room is smaller than what I had last year, but it’ll do since I don’t have as much stuff. I still need to go to target and get tons of supplies that I didn’t have room to take with me.

It’s too humid to do anything. I just can’t wait until I can go check out the beaches here and touch the Atlantic Ocean.
